Everplast successfully provided plaster board recycling and WPC decking extrusion line for a new customer in Malaysia.
The Malaysian customer has more than ten years of experience in producing plaster based WPC decking extrusion. Previously, it used China-made conical twin-screw extruder. The production back pressure was high and the screw and barrel worn out fastly. The most important thing was that the product was prone to brittleness. In order to improve the process and finished product yield rate, customer asked Everplast who has many experiences on WPC profile extrusion field, to provide a suitable plan of new production process.
We recycled the waste plaster boards and reused. In addition to saving production energy and costs, more importantly, we can reduce the waste and create a higher product economic value.
Everplast planned EMD-90 parallel twin-screw extruder as the main material extruder for this customer. Compared with the conical twin-screw extruder, the parallel twin-screw extruder can provide better plasticizing and homogenizing effects. The power changes are relatively stable, thus providing a more stable back pressure. Due to the high hardness of plaster, the production line speed is slower than WPC decking that are using wood powder. The extrusion speed of China-made conical extrusion line is only 0.2m/min, and Everplast extruder can reach up to 0.5m. /min. In order to make the smooth and like wood surface, Everplast also offered sanding machihne for customers, which adopts user-friendly touch screen and easy-understanding icons. Customers were also very satisfied with the performance of the Everplast extrusion line.
