3D Printing of Marine Eco Bricks: Academia-Industry Collaboration Wins Numerous Awards
Students from the Department of Industrial and Commercial Design at Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology designed Marine Eco Bricks, which were printed using cement 3D printing by Jiemao/Jiexin in collaboration. These eco-friendly bricks have won numerous awards, marking a win-win outcome of academia-industry collaboration!

The Marine Eco Bricks were printed using composite cement/paste materials on the Everplast EM3-6030-CMT large-scale cement/paste 3D printer. This machine, specifically designed for large objects, can print up to 9 square meters.

The bricks utilize recycled oyster shell powder as a substitute for sand and gravel, achieving circular reuse, reducing cement consumption, and lowering carbon emissions. This aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addresses environmental issues, embodying the concept of a circular economy.
